Terms of Service
Last updated: September 20, 2026 • Effective immediately
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Reclaim The Day ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website at https://reclaimthe.day, using our family calendar synchronization tools, or utilizing our instructional guides (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Description of Service & Zero-Data-Liability Architecture
Reclaim The Day provides tools and tutorials designed to simplify household scheduling by synchronizing public sports schedules, school district calendars, and activity feeds directly into Google Calendar (such as your native Google Family Calendar).
Decentralized Execution: You acknowledge and understand that the Reclaim The Day calendar sync engine operates entirely within your personal Google account environment (via Google Apps Script). Reclaim The Day does not maintain a centralized backend database that receives, stores, or monitors your personal calendar events, attendee lists, or family credentials.
3. Google Account & Permissions
To use the automated sync features, you grant explicit authorization via Google's OAuth consent screen for the script to access your Google Calendar.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
- You may revoke Reclaim The Day's access at any time through your Google Security settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
- Our use of Google APIs complies strictly with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Schedules & Content Disclaimer
Our synchronization tools process calendar links generated by third-party platforms (e.g., SportsEngine, TeamSnap, school district web portals, and league websites).
- Reclaim The Day is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by SportsEngine, NBC Sports Next, TeamSnap, or Google Inc.
- We do not control the timing, accuracy, or content of events published by your team coaches or league administrators. Reclaim The Day is not responsible for missed games, inaccurate field assignments, or scheduling errors caused by third-party feed providers.
5. Permitted Use
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal, family, and non-commercial household organization. You agree not to:
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the operation of the website or underlying scripts.
- Use the Services to scrape, abuse, or overload third-party calendar feed providers.
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the Services as a standalone commercial product without prior written consent.
6. Intellectual Property
All branding, marks, visual identity, website design, text content, and custom software created by Reclaim The Day are the property of Reclaim The Day and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Open-source components utilized within the project are licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE AT ALL TIMES.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RECLAIM THE DAY, ITS CREATORS, OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MISSED EVENTS, SCHEDULING CONFLICTS, OR TEMPORARY DATA LOSS.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Services after revisions are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
